You need to pay attention because chronic stress put you at increased risk for serious health problems, such as heart attacks, strokes and depression.
Stressors like workload, personal issues, lack of work/life balance and job security can cause a dip in productivity at work.
Personally for me, when I am stressed out I am more distracted and that is not a good thing. Such as losing your car at work and forgetting which parking lot you parked in.
