Having a Guestbook available at your home “for those special parties”

If you plan to have a Guest book at your party, put it on a table away from the congestion created by arriving Guests.  In other words, don’t make Guests sign the Guest book near the entry to the party.  Guests will be busy enough with the receiving line and checking their coats and purses. Put a person overseeing the Guest book in a chair at a table in a corner of the cocktail area. Have a supply of good black pens for people to use when they are signing the Guest Book.

Having a Guest book is excellent way to capture memories and receive special greetings.  In the past, we have had a Guest book at the following type of parties:

  • 50th Birthday Celebrations
  • Retirements Parties
  • Super Bowl Parties
  • Open House during the Holiday Season

Its a wonderful way of keeping track of special parties and the having the date and time with Guests personal handwriting.  Its also nice to remember the younger generation and who brought who to the celebrations.
