Vintage family photo from 1924 – a sentimental journey

This vintage photograph is from 1924, and was given to me by my father this past year.  He gave me a large manilla envelope of several Vintage Photographs from the early days of growing up in Los Angeles, California.  Most of the photographs are from pre – 1952. I thanked him for the generous gift and cherish the photographs.

In the middle is my Uncle Mel Zager, as a small boy. To the left is my paternal Grandmother, Gertrude Zager and to the right is my Great Grandmother Simonoff.

The location is Santa Monica Beach in California, my Grandmother is 24 years old in this picture. I love the bathing caps and look on her face, so innocent.  To know your ancestry is to know your world and where you came from.
