Ombre Hair color – things to consider before getting the new trend

Ombre hair color is the french-term for a new hair trend featuring darker, more natural hues at the roots with gradually dyed lightening at the ends.  It has been spotted on plenty of Celebs including Jennifer Hudson, Naomi Campbell, Nicki Minaj and Raven Simone.  Basically its a trend for women in the world that don’t have to run to the Salon every 8 to 10 weeks.  But is it for you? Below is a photo of my friend wearing the new hair color and no its not Rachel B, but Kayley D.

But before running to your local salon here are a few things to consider:

  • Consider your profession or your current job, the Ombre hair color is essentially a look that appears “grown out” color.
  • Choose shades that will compliment your skin tone as well as wardrobe choices
  • If you have a previous color, you will not be able to achieve the “Ombre” effect successfully without some color correction.
