I am a firm believer that the downfall and fattening of American women is due to elastic waist and sweatpants. While we’re at it let’s throw out valoure jogging suites, especially the ones embellished with embroidered flowers. Thanks for liking my post on everything modest.

I have 5 things on this list! I would give them all up for just one big fur coat! Seriously, these things do make us all look dated. But what is an older woman to do about hose?

      Marion –
Thank you for your comments on the blog “25 Clothing items that must Go!”
Because Poise really does matter, pantyhose is still needed for some women. Consider the weather, your age, and the shape of your legs. Stand in front of a full length mirror and reach for the stars and reach for the ground while looking in the mirror. If you think your legs are appropriate then leave the hose at home. For myself, if I want to come off with confidence and authority in business or social arenas than I always wearing the hose. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Omg could not agree more with your post! When I met my husband, he had so many t-shirts with “meant to be funny” sayings or comics with stick figures. Needless to say, they were immediately in the goodwill pile!

    Hi Lori,
I’d add one more from my world, the corporate logo shirt (see related post on my blog). Dump them all, especially if they are from companies that you left long ago. Current companies…I still say dump them, but understand if you must keep for that oh so special occasion.

Now this list is only for women, correct? I mean, I love my flannel shirts!
